Is that in print? Funny book - read it when it was first published back in
the 70's.

Actually 'spelt' is the past and past participle form of spell to her. She's
British.

And smelt is a small fish, not spelt. Spelt can also be a wheat (Triticum
aestivum spelta) with lax spikes and spikelets containing two light red
kernels.

Don't recall - but I'm sure that like all good FM's it taught tolerance and
patience.

Was that the one with alternatives to an Apple a day?

spell

? verb (past and past part. spelled or chiefly Brit. spelt) 1 write or
name
the letters that form (a word) in correct sequence. 2 (of letters) make up
or
form (a word). 3 be a sign of; lead to: the plans would spell disaster. 4

No, I know the word I'm looking for...what was it again...? Ah, yes,
'f***wit'...

Suggest you avail yourself of the nearest dictionary before you criticise
an
English major - you only make yourself look a complete moron.

Spelt is the past tense of 'to spell'
Dealt is the past tense of 'to deal'
Smelt is the past tense of 'to smell'

So you fancy a battle of words...?
Fine you'll only lose
I will surely thrash you
At any game you choose

Scrabble, Boggle, upwords
I will win the lot
Come on - are you chicken?
I'll take everything you've got!

I'll scramble your Scrabble, cross your words
And certainly hang your men
And then, when I'm through with you
I'll do it all again!

So come into my lair, my dear
The word web has been spun
You think this is the end - oh no!
I've only just begun!

I do not appreciate being called a no one.
Correct spelling and grammar are unfortunately largely absent from modern
society.

Melissa also seems to care about this particular point.
