Sync "Out of Office Assistant" with "Out of Office" in Calendar

I note that the Out of Office Assistant does not seem to have an option to
sync with Calendar entries where "Out of Office" is set.

Did I miss something? Is there a way to have an "Out of Office"
notification (email) automatically sent according to Calendar.

No. It is a mail feature, not calendar.
