synconise a laptop and PC

Is there anyway to sync a laptop and PC, i.e. by using MS Activesync?

Why would you need Activesync?
Isn't the purpose of my briefcase in
Windows?

Not to mention on the PC and/or laptop you could just copy the
enitre folder(s) from one machine to the other.

But you don't need activesync. Just set up a peer to peer
network.

Barnabas,

There may be new messages on both machines. To copy from one to the other
would (either direction) would wipe out something. That's what a sync
program accomplishes.

Hi Thanks for the advise,

As Chuck Davis says I want a sync program - just copying the .pst file
(whether in sync folders or with a breifcase) is really not a good way ...
what if I add a seperate task on both machines - one would get deleted!
With Activesync I can sync my PPC and computer easily, however, it would be
really silly to plug my PPC into my laptop and then to my computer all the
time! I though Microsoft would have a beter solution. - I suppose they want
people to invest in Exchange.

Anyway the solution I have got is using PSTSync (http://www.pstsync.com/) it
seems to do the trick - the only small downside is you need both Outlooks
closed and my PPC off so activesync doesnt lock the PST. This isnt that
much of a big deal as ive got it sync'ing on logon. Another program I looked
into was synchpst (www.synchpst.com) which came with a nice app to remotly
close outlook. I chose the first.

p.s. If anyone wants to set this up I have got my pst on my computer in the
normal place (localsettings/application data) and the pst in a shared
network folder on my laptop.
