Tab list in forms

I have a protected form in Word 2000. I need to be able to remove some
fields from the tab list. These are check boxes that need to checked only
after a task is completed. I haven't found a way to do it yet. Is there a
way to remove the field from the tab list so that it is skipped over when a
user presses the Tab or Enter keys? Thank you for your help in this matter.

Unless you have added macros to do it, the Enter key is not a good way to
try moving from field to field.

Yes, I am using macros to reassign the ENTER key in the protected form. But
what I need is a way to remove certain check boxes from the tab list so that
they cannot be tabbed to. The user has to go to them manually to check them
off. If not, how do I move them to the bottom of the tab list so that they
are at the very bottom of the list?

Thank you for the quick response and your time in this matter.

Mark,

Perhaps an on entry macro in those checkboxes to automatically redirect
to the next textfield

Sub OnEntryCB1
ActiveDocument.Bookmarks("Text2").Range.Fields(1).Result.Select
Exit Sub

The disadvantage is that Text2 will be selected immediately following
manual entry to check or uncheck the box.

Greg,
Maybe not on entry to the checkbox. How about if I do it on exit from
the previous form field. I would just have to increase the index by 2 to
bypass the box completely and that would eliminate the problem of when you go
to the box manually. I wouldn't have thought of that without your
suggestion. So thank you very much.

I'll let you know how it develops.

Greg,
Just wanted to let you know that that trick is working perfectly. I have
a simple loop set up to skip the fields I want skipped. It works like a
charm. Thanks again for all of your help.
