I want four seperate small tables on one pages ie one colum and 7 rows on
each with the following headings. Car hire, customers, address and country. i
can draw these tables in which is takes time. when i insert one table copy it
and then try and paste it to the far right of the first one it goes below.
can anyone please help.

There are a few possibilities.

Why don't you use two newspaper text columns, use the button that's next to
the Insert Excel worksheet button, drag two columns. Insert your first
table, then insert a column break using Insert - break - column break. That
will only work with two tables though.

Draw text boxes using the drawing task bar, position them next to each other
and insert the tables there.

Fake it by making one big table with an extra column/row and format it so
that is has no top/bottom, left/right cell shading. So it will have the
appearance of multiple tables.

To follow up on Luc's suggestion of columns, use two newspaper-style
columns, insert the first table, then the second below it (with an empty
paragraph between to separate them), then the column break, then two more
tables.

Alternatively, create a large two-row, two-column table and nest your larger
table in each cell. You may actually want to make the container table 3x3,
using the center column and middle row as "margins."
