Taking Away tasks from resources timesheet

Hi:

I follow this procedure to take away tasks from resources timesheet:

1) Make the resources booking type as proposed in the project
2) Make work remaining 0, percent complete to 100%
3) Republish all assignments

this process works for some and does not for some projects i.e. resource can
still tasks and clock time towards them.

Is there something I can do to overcome this or is there any other method to
do this.

When you republish the assignments, did you select "Overwrite actual work
entered by resources"?

No I did not as it is not enabled. How can i enable this and what will it do?
