task bar visibility

Each time i click on a hyperlink linked to a a program i wish to opem
within powerpoint, the task bat becomes visible and when clicked
dissappears
Is there any way i can avoid this popping up of the task bar when a
linked program is executed?

Keskarsanjit,
Try this rightclick on your taskbar, choose properties, uncheck always keep
the taskbar on top.
While you are there maybe consider unchecking hide taskbar automatically
also, if it is checked of course.
Does this help?
If you do want the taskbar to appear again just press the windows key on
your keyboard and will pop-up and go away if you press again.
