Why does the task pane not show when I open Word even though the show at
start up box is ticked?

You will want to ask this in one of the Word newsgroups. You've landed in
PowerPoint.

Hi,

In addition to what Echo recommended, mine is the same. I presume it may be
a group Policy setting. Is you installation a corporate one?
