Task/Time Best Practice

Is there a best practice for how resources see and post working and
non-working time? Is it best to keep task sheets and time sheets separate?
Import task sheets and the end of the week to time sheets for submission? Or
vice versa...importing Timesheets to the task sheet for submission?

Hi Mike,

There are several options that you could use. I will talk about the out of
the box option ( meaning without any 3rd party product or code). I would
generally recommend that your staff updates the Tasks first ( which can be
done every day). At the end of the week ( obiously depending on your
reporting cycle) I would ask them to submit the tasks update and import the
task updates into the Timesheet and fill in the rest of the "non project"
time in the timesheet. After that I would ask them to submit the timesheet.

This is of course a very general answer and you may require variations
depending on your business process.
