Templates

I recently upgrated to M Word 2003. I seem to have lost all but one of my templates
I do not seem to be able to make new ones or find the old ones

Where do I look for my existing templates.

Make new ones using File > Save As and selecting template as the file type.

When you use File > New and click on Templates ... On my computer...
what do you see? Are your templates there?

The interposition of the New Document Task Pane and having to click on "On
my computer..." is a pain for me. I added a button to bring up the New
Document dialog box directly. See Suzanne Barnhill's article at
