Temporary file

I m having problem with my word-2000
when i m opening a word file it is opening one more temp file with same name
and the same folder and also getting saved hence the temp file are getting increase with the same nam
what could be the poblem
please guide me

Many temp files are created while a document is open (one each time you
save), but these should be deleted when you close the file. If they're not,
then something is wrong.

There is a specific error that causes these files not to be deleted. IIRC,
it has something to do with "SMB packet signing," whatever that is (I think
in Windows Server 2003). If no one here can enlighten you, post in
word.application.errors and hope for an answer from Terry Farrell.
