i don't have a lot of knowledge about access, but what i'm trying to do is
create a database that holds the information on all tools and equipment in my
workshop, and a means for other people to loan these items from the front
screen. the front screen would have a section for them to enter their name,
and the unique tool id number, then when you press tab, or search, the
corrisponding tools picture, description and location is displayed. they
would then have a section to loan the tool or equipment by entering a date
and clicking 'loan'.
that tool would then be displayed under the 'items out on loan' heading. on
return, all they would need to do is click on the entry in that heading,
which brings up all the details of what the tool is, who has it, when they
borrowed it, and a place for them to enter the date that they return it on.
a template would be fantastic, but any information is appreciated.
