test email fails

Dean

I just installed Outlook 2003 (w/Windows XP). After setting up my email account I ran a test of the settings. Everything checks out but the test email comes up with a message to check the SSL and port settings. It all looks fine. I even tried changing the outgoing mail authentication, but that didn't work. What's strange is that sometime I can send emails, other times I can't.

However, everthing works fine in Outlook Express

Any help? Thanks!

What are the EXACT error messages?
