Test email sent automatically

This is an email I received from Outlook. The from
address was my email to my email. I've never heard of
Outlook sending this and want to make sure it's not a
virus.

This is an e-mail message sent automatically by Microsoft
Outlook's Account Manager while testing the settings for
your POP3 account.

I tried to look it up but haven't been able to come up
with anything.

Go to Tools > Email Accounts... > Add new... > Next > select POP3 > Next >
There is a button sends the test message you refer to.
