Text Box Fill - Word 2000

When I right click a text box and select Fill, Color, Fill Effects, Two
colors, Color 1, there are 8 colour swatches (including the two that I am
currently using). The document is 'saved as' and used many times, each
document new document having different colored text boxes. Is there any way
I can delete the colors used from a previous version and only show the two
that I am currently using?

Since you are "recycling" your original document and want to retain certain
features for use in the future, coonsider creating a new template that
incorporates all the textbox features you want. See:
