When I fill any text bos with color while creating anm e-mail publication,
the text boxes are converted into images instead of text, thus making my file
size bigger. How to change this?

There is no way to change it. This is the way Publisher works.
Publisher is not designed for outputting small HTML code.

Just an FYI Ed...what you say is true of Pub 2002 and 2003, but not 2000.
You can convert a color filled text box to HTML without converting it to an
image. Same is true of using a border. And the HTML code for 2000 is much
cleaner and smaller...

(I always forget how efficient 2000 and earlier were at outputting HTML!)
