text is moving with screen !

i am trying to create my own web site and have only just started and have a
problem already. i have placed a background image on the site which has
coloured boxes on it, then i created a cell ontop of one of these colour
boxes and added some text (so it looks like its in the box), when im in the
working screen or preview screen it looks good but when i go to preview in
internet explorer6 window the text all moves with the size of the explorer
window thus moving the text away from the coloured box when i increase or
decrease the explorer window size , how do i lock it in place so if you
shrink your explorer window the text stays there and you need to scroll
across to see it all, rather that it shrinking on its own trying to fit in
the explorer window.

Use a fixed width table to hold the text instead of a percent width one? I
am just guessing, though because I can't see your code.
