the installization source for this product is not available

I wasn't able to receive email on my microsoft office professional edition
2003 so I tried to use the detect and repair feature. I got this message
"The installization source for this product is not available. Verify that
the source exists and that you can access it". I tried it again and put in
the installization CD but got the same message. I used the "restore to an
earlier restore point" on my computer and I can now receive email but I
still cannot use the detect and repair feature, with or without the CD. Any
ideas what the problem is and how to correct it?

Are you 100% sure this is *your* CD? The exact one, same version you
installed with?
You might try a reinstallation - and choose 'custom' and make sure you
install *everything* to run from your local computer.....

This is "MY" CD. I tried to reinstall it and got the same notice. The only thing that may be involved is I installed it on my laptop too. could this be the problem.
