The open file window is now full screen

In all Office applications the open file and close file windows are full
screen. This has happened suddenly and with apparent reason. The windows
were always normal size before but now they are full screen and there is no
apparent way to change this.

Hi, Paul. Double-click the title bar of the File>Open dialog box to restore
it to its normal size. File>Close does not have a dialog box. Maybe you
meant File>Save or File>SaveAs? Those can also be restored to normal size by
double-clicking their title bars.
