The saving, customize, & options are greyed out....how do I fix i.

The option to save a document is greyed out. I also can not access the
customization or options menu on the toolbar either. How do I fix this? I'm
using Word 2002.

Yes. The program used to work correctly and now it doesn't. I don't know
what I have done to change it.
