Thousand of calendar copies in project files

Hi
We are facing an issue with the calendar in use in our project.
We have a custom calendar for all our projects (in global.mpt and each
mpp file).
The issue is that when we go in the calendar tab of the tools/
organizer we have thousand of copies of the calendar in the mpp file
of the project. In the end the files reach 16Mo!
Project version is 2003.
We are using a separate resource list which is also using this
calendar.

Any idea ?

Assuming you mean thousands of copies of the Standard calendar, then either
a macro went horribly wrong or you have a file corruption!

Try opening the file then immediately saving it. See if that helps. If not
try saving the file to xml with file, save as and choosing xml format. Close
the project then open the xml format and re-save to .mpp.

In fact it is not the standard calendar which is copied but the
custome one

So did saving as .xml then re-opening from xml solve the problem?

Nope
In fact we are using an excel file with macro to generate reports and
timesheet from project files, i guess each time a file is loaded a
copy is done, then loops in excel files are creating the thousand
copies
