Hi Stefano,

The thumbnails for the document files are not stored in the document by default, to help make the files smaller. If you open a Word
document and use File=>Properties and turn on
[x] Save preview picture
then look at the file in Word File=>Open thumbnail view or in Windows Explorer thumbnail view do you see the thumbnail for that
file?

In Word's File=>Open you can use the Preview view to see a bit of the file content.

Thanks but i now.
When i use the office 2000 i usually check the box and sure i can view the
picture. But when i upgrade office to office 2003 i cant see the picture in
thumbnails mode. So i think:
1) OR office 2003 and win 2000 had this incompatibility...
2) or when i installed the new version of office, some registry key wasn't
update...
In fact Microsoft said this: http://support.microsoft.com/?id=292499 . But,
this is for gif or other picture file not for .doc or .xls file...
so i don't now the problem....
SING!!
