Timesheet approvals

I am at my wits end with timesheets! There does not seem to be much out
there regarding the proper process for completing and approving them.

Question 1: do the users have to put values in every box for every task,
for every day on their timesheet? ( We have a number of "unsubmitted"
timesheets)

Question 2: How do I get the Resource Managers to see the resource's
timesheets to approve them? They have the appropriate permission and are in
the same group in the RBS, but some still cannot see all the timesheets for
approval.

I have tried having the project manager approve them first, update the
project plan and then have the resource manager go in, but they are not there
for the resource manager. I have also tried having the resource manager go
in first to do an approval, but they still don't show up, and then I have
these unsubmitted timesheets stuck in the system.

If you can, please point me to some best practices around managing timesheets.

Victoria,

I saw your post and I'm experiencing a similar problem.

What was teh solution to your problem?

I am also having the same problem and would be interested in the solution. I
have modified the RBS, and have also updated the enterprise resource pool
with the RBS information, and verified the my resource security category. If
I can't get it fixed, I am afraid our company is going to try to use a
different timesheet and make the work for the PM's much more difficult.
Thanks

OBG:

Me-too posts are not the most productive way to get information,
particularly when you offer no information about your system and how you've
got things setup. Try starting a new thread with more depth. If you did all
the things you say you did, then your system should be working correctly.
