Timesheet Custom Fields

I am having an issue with values from an Enterprise Custom Text field showing up in the timesheet. I created a code to show an alphanumeric accounting code using an Enterprise Custom Task field (Text1). I added the code to the Global Template by selecting Tools/Customize/Published Fields and added the custom field; however, I noted that I was not able to select Assignment as the field type but only Task. I saved and closed the global template.

I then went into PWA under Admin/Views and added the custom field to the Timesheet view. I then opened a new project and added tasks and then the account the values for the Enterprise custom field and the under Collaboration, I selected Publish All Information. Looking at the timesheet, I see no information in the custom field

I went through the whitepaper on Explore Microsoft Office Project 2003 Timesheets and confirmed the steps, but this still does not work. Is my issue associated with note being able to select Assignment option for the Custom Field type found on the Customize Published Fields dialog box? If so, how do I get that field to activate since it is grayed out? If I select a Text field for the project I can select either Task or Assignment. Any thoughts

You can't add these to the global template, they must be added project by
project. Secondly, you must republish any existing tasks to push the
information out to the fields once you've made your changes.
