I recently upgraded my hard drive & decided NOT to copy the system across as
it had a load of junk from previous incarnations. I wanted a fresh install so
I started with WinXP & worked my way up. All was fine until I ran Outlook for
the first time.
The font used for the various parts of the Outlook screen are OK, except for
the middle part where you see all the messages listed. This is TINY & I can't
change it. This was not a problem when I installed it the last time on my
previous hard drive. I've no idea why this time it has installed in this way.
There might be related issues. For a start I've got problems with IE7 as
well, web pages have font sizes all over the place & I can't get a setup that
works for all sites & their pages. Either they are tiny & I can't control
them, or if I use the Acessiblity option to force a resize (ignoring the page
settings) this meses up other pages. I've also noted that Notepad (plain,
well behave, nicely behaved NOTEPAD????) has installed with a really wierd
font that I can't change either. This might be unrelated, but I've included
it just in case.
I've installed WInXp many times on different PCs & never had a problem like
this before. Any suggestions would begreatly appreciated.
