to do lists

I'm wanting to specify a date-range of tasks that i'd like to output a
to do list from. I'd like it to display the resource name (person) and
the task name for each if possible. Can anyone help me in getting this
info out of project simply please?

Pinkman,
Have you tried the "To do list" built-in report found under
View/Reports/Assignments? Substitute the "Date Range" filter in place of
the default "Using Resource" filter. If for some reason that doesn't
give what you want, let us know what it lacks and we can perhaps offer
another suggestion.

Inser a column "Resource Names" next to Task Name column
Click on Autofilter
Click on "Start" column -> select "Custom" then select "is greater than or
equal to" specify the start date
Click on "End" column -> select "Custom" then select "is less than or equal
to" specify the end date date
You get the format you asked for.
