Tools/Customize menu is disabled for Word embedded into a container

Hello,

When I host Word in an ActiveX container the Tools/Customize Menu is disabled.
The same with embedding Word in Excel.

Is it working as designed or a workaround is available? Please advise.

Thanks for your posting.
Based on my research, this is by design.
When we host a Active Document in a Container, there will be an menu
merging.
This behavior will be controled by the Container, because the containter
will help to forward the menu call to the Host.
But for some menus, e.g. Tools/Customize, it will change the layout for
menus which will cause the Container hard to handle the menu related job.
