Total MS Incompetence with Office

L

Lloyd Sheen

Ok I tried to install. It just wanted to keep on configuring. So off the
system it went. There was a post about a script to fix the problem.

Tried it. Of course it did not. So uninstall Office again.

Now windows update wants to update stuff which IF MS CAN UNINSTALL THEIR OWN
PRODUCTS should not be on my system.

I would really like to hear from MS this time.

Are there any MS people with the guts to acknowledge the probems and try to
help fix them. Why does windows update think an uninstalled product still
exists??????

OK. Lloyd your post does not make sense. I cannot make heads or tails from what you are saying. Maybe try and give everything in detail so as it can be understood.

You would have to follow the entire thread. This is another of the "it just
keeps on wanting to configure" story with Office. It is Office and is
retail. I ran a script provided which was supposed to help. It did not.

I spent about 2 hours on the phone with MS support. To say that they know
nothing is a compliment. Reformat and reinstall. I have been in the
business for 30+ years and know when there is a boondoogle on the loose.
