Track Changes Formatting

Version: 2008
Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard)

I'm sharing a document with a PC user. Her changes appear in red font, when I click accept changes the bubble goes away, the red fonts do not change. The same thing happens with underlining or bold. I've tried changing the font formatting, and copying and the copy into a new document. Can this problem be fixed, if so how do I fix it?

It would help if you asked the PC user how she is applying her changes.

When you accept changes on the Mac side, the balloon should indeed go away,
but so should the red font.

You could try "Accept All Changes in Document".

Cheers

One thought - Are these *insertions* or *replacements*? If they're
replacements there are actually 2 changes that have to be accepted - the
deletion of what was previously there & the entry of what's taken it's
place. Markup of the new entry isn't removed until it's accepted/rejected.
