track clicks on a button

anyway to track clicks on an element such as "make this my homepage" button?
without using session cookies..
lost on this one

Hi,
No because that function is totally client side. All you can do is check
your server logs for requests for favicon.ico, this is requested each time
an IE user adds you to their favourites so you can get a measure of how many
times you've been added. If you don't have the file it will show as a 404

My server logs already track the "add to favorites" count. I need to count
specific "make this my home page"
