Transfer 1 Component (one note) to different computer

C

CP12

I have 2 computers: 1 desktop, 1 laptop. I currently have Office 2007
Standard on the desktop, and just bought Office 2007 Ultimate. I am going to
uninstall Office Standard on the desktop and transfer activation to the
laptop, and then clean install Ultimate onto the desktop. First question: do
I need to uninstall standard on the desktop before installing ultimate, or
can i just run the ultimate installer and enter that key - kinda like an
upgrade?

Second question: although i'm putting ultimate on the desktop, i would like
one note on the laptop so that i can use that to take notes in class. is
there any way i can have that component (which is only included in ultimate)
be transferred onto my laptop (which will be running standard)? Thanks.

You cannot split the Office suite between different systems.

As for wat to install and how, I'd start with a clean slate on both systems
to avoid potential issues with idfferent product keys.
