Transfer personal Outlook files from old computer to new computer

I have just purchased an xp. I have tried to follow the directions on
importing and exporting files, but the data won't come in to the new
computer. How do I Tranfer all my personal files in outlook to my new
computer. I'm especially concerned about my contacts.

I cannot find any pst files. My old computer is window98. These instructions
are for windows 2000. How do I convert my windows 98 dts files pst files?

Outlook on Win98 still used PST files. Did you check all folders (including
hidden ones)?
