transferring thumnail links

I'm using Frontpage 2000 and over the past two years have
created a web site which is now too diverse. I want to
split it into two or more smaller sites, more relavent to
the subjects.
My problem is there are a lot of images (about 400) on the
main site that I want to copy and paste to the new sites,
are there any ways I can do this and still retain the
thumbnail 'links' so viewers can enlarge the images.
I've tried straight copying and pasting the images onto
the new pages and that's fine but the 'links' to the
thumbnails have been put in the Temp Internet Folder and I
don't know what to do with them cause every now and then I
delete everything in this folder to clean up the computer.
It seems that I could copy them to a new folder? Would
this work? Or do I have to somehow transfer them to
an "Images" folder on the new web site. Is so how do I do
that please?
The last thing I want to hear is that I've lost all my
thumbnails and to get them back I have to re photo all the
images. There must be an easier way. Thanks in advance.

Easiest way (if you host supports subwebs) is to
1) Create a new folder, web2, under the root and right click it to convert to a web (subweb)
Publish to whole root web site to the new subweb rootwebname\web2
2) In the 2 webs clean out want you don't want

Thanks for that info and wish it was that easy,(I'll know
next time) but I've already spent weeks forming the new
sites, last thing to do was to transfer the pics. The new
webs also have different page formatting so still looking
for an answer.
Thanks for your help
