Transferring Word documents to Publisher with footnotes intact

How does one import a Word document with footnotes into Publisher and keep
the footnotes? They disappear when I try it, either using the paste or
import command.

Publisher does not support footnotes, AFAIK..

I found out it will if the text is imported as an object. However, that only
seems to do it one page at a time.

Exactly so.. Publisher does not support footnotes, and any changes made in
Publisher will leave the footnotes as imported..
