Trouble Exporting Word Questionaire into Excel

Situation: I have a questionnaire form I have set up in MS Word where
users will mark check boxes. I am currently saving the data using the
"Save Data Only for Forms" option, but when I try to import the data
into Excel I receive the same error message ("The text file contains
more data than will fit on a single worksheet").

Transposing the data only complicates things further because I get
uneven rows of information, that I am unable to map.

Any suggestions?
