Trouble reading Windows 98 files

I transferred publisher files from Win98 to WinXP and the files do not open
correctly. Photos and word art do not appear. Any suggestions?

Which version of Publisher? Are you running all of the appropriate service
packs? Are you running Norton antivirus?

Do, please, enlighten us as to how telling us the /Windows/ version you're
running enables us to know the version of /Publisher/...
