Turn on HTML for received msgs. 2 Part question

D

deborah

I have my settings to HTML in sent messages but don't
know how to turn it on for received message. So, I can't
read a part of an email that was sent in HTML. How can I
turn it on.

Part 2- why isn't the email downloading automatically
every 3mins as I set it. I have to click send/receive to
see if anything is there.

thanks

You can change the format of a received email by opening up the email, then
click edit/edit message, then click format and you should be able to select
any of the 3 formats.

Are you closing your Outlook? the auto send and receive only works if
Outlook remains open (can be minimized).

You may want to double check your setting for the automatic send/receive.
There is two area's in which you can do this "When Outlook is Online" and
"When Outlook is Offline". You may want to be sure that you have the
"Schedule an automatic send/receive every 5 minutes" is checked under the
"Online" heading and not just in the Offline setting. Also make sure that
the "All Accounts" group name is listed, and if so, click edit and make sure
that the "send mail items" and "receive mail itmes" is also checked and that
your account is listed in there.
Tools>Options>Mail Setup>Send/Receive...

Good Luck
