Typing is very slow...

Hi all

For the past month or so, whenever I type an email in Outlook 2002, the characters take a long time to display on my screen. I can type WAY ahead, then have to sit and wait a while for the text to show up on the screen. This only happens in email - no other aspect of Outlook or no other program on my machine

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks very much

Sorry to follow my own post with another, but my last one was incorrect. EVERYTHING in Outlook is slow - not just email. I tried the Calendar, Contacts, etc., and I can type way ahead before anything displays. The problem appears to be everywhere in Outlook.
