Unable to access Options Menu

Jeff

I have lost the option to change options. From the menu
bar I choose Tools. When I click on Options nothing
happens. A second box should open to give me the choices
to choose manual or automatic calculation for example.
Any ideas?

It's possible that you're still in edit mode. Press the
ESC key a couple of times.

Hi Jeff

Try to reset your menu bar

Right click on the menubar and choose customize

Under Toolbars select the worksheet menubar
and click on reset on the right

Note : You lose all the things you have changed in the menu bar

Suggestions to delete your xlb file or to reset everything are pretty
much in the same category as formatting your harddrive to fix a problem.
You should only do that as a last resort, or if you know that you have
absolutely no customizations or data. If you have a backup file
then it doesn't make much difference what you do.

I would suggest taking a look at
Toolbars, Custom Buttons and Menus
http://www.mvps.org/dmcritchie/excel/toolbars.htm

You could be throwing away a lot of changes.

Thanks - I'll check out the link. Everything else is
running very well. I'm going to take this slow so I don't
loose anything else in the process.
