Unable to Edit Lookup Tables (Error: 'ExcelBtn' is undefined)

Project Server 2007 SP2
A week or so ago, we were happily adding/modifying Lookup Tables...but today
when I click on an existing lookup table to modify (or select the 'New Lookup
Table' button) I received a mostly blank screen. Strange thing is, when I'm
trying to edit an existing lookup table the resulting screen says "New Lookup
Table", some empty frames are barely visible. Clicking on the details of the
accompanying error message: Line: 1366 Char: 8 Error: 'ExcelBtn' is
undefined Code: 0

I can use the copy lookup table feature successfully...and am able to create
new Custom Fields which point to the existing lookup tables with no issues.
I've been googling for an hour and I only see two related stories...both of
which seem to be new installs. Our site has been running smoothly for over a
year now, and we successfully applied SP2 months ago.

Our location has a single SSP with 3 instances of project server for 3
seperate business groups. The other 2 instances of project server work just
fine.

Any ideas, hints, or suggestions would be GREATLY appreciated!

As a first line of action if a server reboot doesn't solve the problem, I
would try running a repair on the system. This sounds like it may be code
corruption.

Thank you for your response Gary.

We're going to perform a reboot tonight...and if that doesn't work we'll
follow the repair process. If there is still an issue, we'll likely setup a
new instance and hook it up to the existing content databases. I'll post the
results for future reference, in case anyone else runs into this same issue.

(Just noticed the "Manage Queue" link is also broken...navigates directly to
an Unknown Error page.)

Ben:

It's either server-side caching issue or codebase corruption. Maybe a simple
IISRESET would fix it if it's the former.

We rebooted the server last night. Now we can access the screens from one
admin's PC...but no one else's. (We did not test from his PC yesterday...so
it MIGHT have been working this whole time.)

This is crazy, because his machine and mine were brand new on Monday (12th)
with the exact same image. I can log in on his PC and access everything
fine, but we both recieve the same errors on my PC and three others we've
tried. Same build of IE...other instances of project server are still
working just fine. (Same versions of ActiveX and OWC as well)

Why are just these two screens in one instance only accessible from one
specific PC? ...my head hurts.

We're at a total loss. Going to turn on explicit error checking
tonight...then calling Microsoft tomorrow.

Ben,

I´ve got exactly the same issue on a brand new installation (Win 2003
Server, WSS 3.0). I can´t access the "Manage queue" page and get an almost
blank screen when trying to create a new Lookup table.

I don´t know if you have solved the issue yet, but we can check our
configurations to try to solve the problem.
