unable to login toproject 2007

Hi,
I have deployed project 2007. my problem is when i try to login to project
professional 2007 it gives me error "invialid userid/password" but when i
login to PWA and then try to login to project it connects it well. do i need
to modify any setting for this?

When you log on via PWA, does your user account appear in the top right hand
corner ?

Yes it is appearing in right side "Welcome System Account".

and are you logged onto your pc with the same NT account which is the system

Hi paul,
Yes i am logged in with same account which is also a administrator on machine.
once i login to pwa it allows me to connect but connecting to project
professional without loggin to PWA is not happening. i read some post here
and they are hinting for some alternate access in sharepoint. do u think this
may be issue? if yes what is it and how to solve this..

Is the URL in the account settings the same as you type in the browser? ie
http(s)://projectserver/pwa

"Don't add /default.aspx to the url in winproj"

We had a similar issue. We discovered that at the time we setup the server,
no one had turned off the anonymous logon. Once we disallowed that, you
could log into the server from project without having to first launch the web
session.

Not sure if you are experiencing the same thing.

Yes this was a problem and it has been solved. i turned off anaonymous
access in IIS and it wokrd fine. thanks a lot for this.
