Unable to open Outlook 2000

When attempting to open Outlook, I have just started to get: "Outlook could
not open the file containing the folders used to send and receive email
messages, create appointments and open the address book. Please select one
of the options listed below" Options are "Create a new personal folders file"
& "Open an existing personal folders file". I have updated my Anti-Virus
software, Defragmented the system, and repaired Office 2000 Professional with
the original disk, all to no avail. 2 PC's on the home network, only
happening one the one. Any help appreciated

Do you use a seperate pst on each pc?
Have you run scanpst.exe on the pst?
What size is your pst?

Unfortunately am quite computer illiterate. Both PCs are stand alone, only
networked for wireless modem/router and shared perpherals. Don't know what
the pst is or how to find it, so cannot say the size. I would guess that the
one with the problem is a much smaller one though.
