Outlook 2000 not opening correctly

When I try to open Outlook 2000, it gives me the message "Outlook could not
open the file containing the folders used to send and receive e-mail
messages, create appointments, and open the address book. Please select from
the options below. Create a new personal folders file. or Open existing
personal folders file." What happened and how do I get my e-mails and
contacts back?!!!
