Unable to open .PST file

I had to rebuild my OS so prior to doing so I copied off
the Outlook and Archive .PST files. When I reloaded I put
everything abck the way it was originally but now I get a
message each time I try to open the migrated Outlook .PST
file using the Data File Management option it says:

"The files/folders you are trying to import are not
compatible with this version. Contact Administrator"

I need the data in this .PST file. I have my laptop which
is running Outlook 2002 but that of course is no good as
there is no backward compatibility or at least it seems
that way.

Any assistance would be appreciated.

Is the file an Outlook 2003 Data File? These are not compatible with
previous versions of Outlook. Open the file in Outlook 2003 and copy the
content to an Outlook 97-2002 Data File.

Also make sure that the "Read Only" file property isn't set in case you
restored from CD.
