Unable to Save Resources

I am using Project 2003 Pro and Project Server 2003. I have an issue where
I cannot save a resource when I associate it with an NT account. This issue
was posted to the newsgroup a couple months ago and there was reply about
the RBS having to be blank (I pasted that message at the bottom). I don't
see RBS as an option on the Resource Information dialog.

When I try to save the error I get is:
Name or Windows Account Error

Any help on this would be GREATLY appreciated.

I just got off of the phone with Microsoft - they have

You wont see the RBS value in the information dialog until you've defined
it. Typically this error indicates a problem communicating with the domain
controller. Are you certain that your Project Server is a member of the
domain?

I am running SBS 2003, so my project server is my domain controller....

I found the problem was that I created the users through the PWA interface -
but then they were not available as resources. If I removed those users
(with the clean up database interface) and then recreate them through the
Project 2003 enterprise resources then they are there as both users and
resources.

Joe:

If you're at the beginning of your deployment, consider running the
setubdb.cmd file to reset your database back to blank and start over. The
way to bring your resources into the system after you create your custom
attributes, is to use the Import Resources to Enterprise Wizard, which both
adds the users to the resource pool and adds them as users all in one step.
Your best bet is to stage your pool in a project file and import from there.
You might also consider getting a copy of my book to assist you with
deployment.
