Unable to selct pictures and shapes

In Word 2007 I am unable to select a picture and a shape at the same time. I
have tried using shift and control. The wrapping is set ito in front of text

One of the drawbacks of progress The objects you're trying to select are
dissimilar types - one's a Drawing Object the other is a Picture Object - so
they cant be selected at the same time.

One workaround: Cut the shape then use Paste Special> Picture, but you won't
be able to modify it with the Drawing Tools once you do.

Another Option: Use Insert Tab> Shapes> New Drawing Canvas, cut each object
& paste into the canvas. (Or you can create the canvas first, then Insert
pictures or draw Shapes directly within it.)
