Unable to split a task

Attempts to split tasks in My Project file result in the task bar being
extended and not split. Creating a new Project file and inserting My Project
results in the split task being displayed properly. I am using Project
Professional 2003 w/SP1. My Project was created with an earlier version. Is
there a way to fix this?

Format/Layout.../check to show bar splits.

Try posting on the server newsgroup. Please see FAQ Item: 24. Project

Mike Glen,
Your suggestion to "check to show bar splits" fixed my problem. I am quite
familiar with Project but, for some reason, I never noticed that option.
