Unallocated Resource

I'm new to project and I was wondering if it is possible to indicate the
number of mandays per week required from a specific resource type for the
duration of the project where the resource remains unallocated (i.e. where
resource is not available). I'm using Project 2003

Thanks

Hi,

There are several solutions here, and recently in a thread it has been shown
that each method has strong supporters. I'll try to give them unbiased:

- You declare some time in the resource's calendar as nonworking time, f.i.
for a resource that is vailable 3 days a week, you put Tue and Thu as
nonworking time
- Or in the resoruce sheet you put the Max Units for the resource to 60% (in
this example)
- Or (insofar you use resoruce leveling) you create a recurring task to
which the resource "works" two days each week

It would take me too long to explain pros and cons of each method, try and
see.
