Undo does not undo moved message

Several times I have "moved" a message to the wrong folder (accidentally). I immediately do "apple-Z" to try to undo it, but it has never returned the message back to the original folder. Sometimes other messages are moved as a result of that undo. Other times the undo menu s grayed out and not even active.

Is the "undo" feature supposed to undo a move?

Yes, Command + Z will "Undo Move" immediately after a move, but I'm
referencing Entourage 2008 where it's working just fine for me. This may
be an issue just with Entourage 2004. Not sure.

It works fine for me in E 2004.
Julia -- do you get the same behavior when you use Undo from the Edit menu
instead of Apple-Z (usually called Command-Z).

I get the same behavior with Apple-Z or the edit menu, but I noticed that it only happens when I'm trying to undo a move from the Inbox "on the server" (the cached version from my Exchange server) to a folder on the local machine.

If I move a message from a folder on my local machine to a different folder on the local machine, the undo works properly.

If a move a message from the server inbox to a folder on the local machine, the undo doesn't move it back (and seems to move something else).

If you're moving messages between a server server and a local Entourage
folder then the message will be copied and not moved. When moving a
message are you seeing a green circle wit a white " + " in the middle?
That's "copy".

Hope this helps!
