Help!
I suffered major crash from windows XP SP2. I need to
remove and reinstall MS office to get it working
correctly again.

I was wondering if anyone could give me some advice on
doing this so I do not run into trouble.

Thanks

Depending on how and what you reinstall, you should backup/copy these
two files:

C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Microsoft\Office\Data\data.dat

C:\WINDOWS\system32\wpa.dbl

The first file is for your Office XP Professional and second for Windows
XP Prof. This should allow you to run Office again without activating
the product.

Are you using Office XP professional or Office 2003? Also, how did you
manage to mess up your PC with SP2? According to Microsoft your macine
will always need this wonder drug to cure all ills in the wild.

Hope this helps.
I use non Microsoft products whenever possible which requires no activation.
